Oh well, better late than never!

An unfortunate cannonball jellyfish that got washed up on the beach. We found a stick to roll some of them (including this one) that had just washed up back into shallow water, but they just got washed back up again. This is my first time actually seeing a live jellyfish in the wild, so I'm not sure if they get washed up naturally when they're already dying, or if they're really getting beached by accident.

They were very pretty and cute when they were swimming.

These ones are apparently not only edible, they're apparently the third largest export of seafood for this state??? So they sometimes get called Georgia jellyballs. You eat the top part as far as I can tell, I'll have to look up some recipes lol.

(I'm going to assume you need a fishing license to collect them.)
