Soooo mittens are super easy and my brain just didnāt like all the words in the pattern... There were some funny bits and clearly the yarn lied to me, but it is done. The right one took almost 3 weeks to finish and the left one took 2 days, mostly due to lazy.

Above are a couple of items I worked up in Madelinetosh DK in theĀ āSpicewoodā colourway. Both are by Boo Knits. The top two rows are of theĀ āThisbeā shawl. The bottom row is of theĀ āBrucieā hat, originally meant for a child, but itĀ āblocked outā to a grown-up size!

Iāve been rather remiss in showing myĀ āFOāsā lately, so I will make up for lost time. Here is one that resulted from an MKAL by Susanna IC calledĀ āTerra Australisā but now calledĀ āRautiniā after a New Zealand flower. The yarn used was Malabrigo sock, a merino wool, fingering-weight yarn that feels like silk, in theĀ āPrimaveraā colourway.

I've recently been working on a super fun sweater pattern. I spent a very long time searching the web for the perfect pastel shades. I ended up choosing #StyleCraft Bambino as it was exactly what I wanted. The only issue I've found with this yarn is that is splits incredibly easily! I recently received a wonderful opportunity to work with a large yarn company to bring you guys some free knitting patterns! Hobium Yarns š I know a lot of people sell patterns (I do!) but when I started knitting and was just beginning, I lived for free patterns. I never felt I was good enough to spend money on patterns. So, watch this space! My first pattern will be a double brim cabled beanie using this gorgeous 100% Merino wool. This is ridiculously soft, doesn't make me itch (normally wool does) and it is the perfect shade of blush pink.
