Crafting With Christie!
This Week’s Project: A Sampler
So due to the fact we are supposed to stay at home as much as possible - I’ve started raiding my Rainy Day Craft Stash (because, that’s what it is for).Â
So I started stitching a fun sampler/ stitch tutorial! Â On the left is the hankie that I practice the Lazy-Daisy and Colonial stitch on - so it would cheer me up every time I needed to blow my nose!Â
(There might be a horrible virus going around - but my current problem is revolving around pollen....)
Christie: So in Nemesis Miss Marple visits a yarn shop (I believe) to get the current gossip and some wonderful wool yarn. While knitting may have been her thing I’m betting at some point she may have dabbled with smaller and sharper needle!

I love the idea of a 'stitching notebook', I kind of want to get into sewing and embroidering soon so I think I'll try making one myself so I can follow my progress
All you need is some plain fabric that you can either stitch directly onto, like the sampler shown, or make stitch samples and sew them onto the fabric pages. That way, you can try out different techniques in small things, like a hoop, before you commit to something large and find out you need a lot of practice to get your French knots to form correctly! Good Luck!
When I was younger, I used a fabric with thin stripes to work out embroidery stitches; using the stripes helped to keep the stitches uniformly sized and in a straight line.
