because constantly there's people complaining that their favorite character are drawn having sex and they assume said artists automatically associate them as hypersexual and how that contradicts characterization, when canon in question did not ever touch the question of sexuality in the first place and the character is simply someone who doesn't express their emotions outwardly which in turn means according to them, that they experience no desires and interpretating them as having them is, quite sinful and reprehensible
