Sypnosis- Stinger is all energy, all excitement, the kind of person who throws himself into battle without hesitation. You? You’d rather keep things quiet, steady, and slow. Somehow, though, he always finds himself gravitating toward you, as if your calm presence is the only thing keeping him from burning out.

Word Count: 4k+ (because I can’t hold back when it’s fluff)

♡ The first time Stinger noticed you, it wasn’t in a fight or a dramatic moment. It wasn’t anything exciting, actually.

You were napping.

Right in the middle of the Hero Association’s break room, curled up on a bench like the world's softest looking cat. Your arms were folded under your head, and the faint rise and fall of your shoulders told him you were either asleep or about to be.

Meanwhile, he had just finished beating a Deep Sea monster, his pulse still racing, adrenaline thrumming through his veins like electricity.

"Man, I need to move," he muttered, bouncing slightly on his heels. That fight had been insane, and his body wasn’t done riding the high.

That’s when his eyes landed on you again.

Completely still. Absolutely unbothered. A direct contrast to the mess of energy vibrating in his limbs.

Before he even realized it, he was walking toward you.

"Yo."

Nothing. Not even a twitch.

He tilted his head. How the hell were you sleeping through this? The room was packed heroes moving around, people yelling, and yet, you looked like you hadn’t been conscious for years.

Stinger knelt next to the bench and poked your arm. "Hey, you good?"

Your eyes fluttered open, the laziest blink he’d ever seen. "You’re loud," you mumbled, voice still heavy with sleep.

Stinger grinned. "And you’re half-dead. You sleep here now?"

"Only when my bed feels too far away," you murmured, shifting slightly. You didn’t exactly invite him to sit, but you didn’t tell him to go away either.

So, naturally, he took that as permission and plopped down beside you.

And in hours, he felt his heartbeat settle.

♡ Stinger learned something very quickly about you.

You weren’t the type to say things outright.

You wouldn’t run into his arms after a mission. You wouldn’t tell him you missed him. You wouldn’t text him first, wouldn’t cling to him in a traditional sense.

But your love was in the details.

It was in the way you always waited for him to sit down before leaning into his space. It was in the way your fingers brushed against his, hesitating for half a second before curling around his wrist. It was in the way you reached for the fabric of his sleeve absentmindedly, as if just making sure he was there.

And for a guy like Stinger, who had spent most of his life running headfirst into danger, that kind of quiet, subtle love? It destroyed him.

One evening, after a long mission, he stumbled into your apartment.

Normally, Stinger was all grins, all noise, never letting exhaustion show. But tonight, his shoulders ached, his ribs were bruised, and the weight of being a hero felt just a little heavier than usual.

He expected you to ask what happened.

Instead, you just… reached for his wrist and pulled him toward the couch.

No words. No questions. Just a simple tug, guiding him down until his head rested on your lap.

"Stay?" he muttered, already half-asleep.

You hummed, running your fingers through his messy hair. "Always."

And that was enough.

♡ "You ever wonder how we work?" Stinger asked one lazy afternoon, arms wrapped around your waist while the two of you lay tangled on the couch.

"You mean how you’re a walking explosion, and I prefer existing at two miles per hour?"

"Yeah, that." He grinned, shifting slightly so his chin rested on your shoulder. "How does that work?"

You thought for a moment. "You chased me."

Stinger scoffed. "I did not chase you."

You raised a brow. "Oh? Who followed me around for a whole week, bringing me snacks and asking if I wanted to ‘hang out’?"

"Okay, maybe I chased you a little," he admitted, laughing against your skin. "Worth it, though."

"Mm." You leaned back against him. "I think you needed someone to slow you down."

He paused.

And maybe you were right.

Because before you, he had never really stopped moving.

He had always been running, always rushing into the next fight, always burning through life at full speed without stopping to breathe.

But with you?

With you, he could be still.

Home wasn’t a place.

Not for Stinger, at least. He had moved around too much, fought too many battles, to really consider anywhere permanent.

But one night, after a long mission, he went into your apartment and found you half-asleep on the couch, curled up under a blanket with your fingers loosely grasping the edge of his jacket.

You had been waiting for him.

Even in sleep, you had been waiting.

And for the first time in his life, he felt it.

That quiet, unshakable warmth. That anchor pulling him back to solid ground. That certainty in his bones that no matter how far he ran, no matter how much energy he burned, he’d always have somewhere to return to.

He bent down, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead before whispering, "I’m home."

And even though you were half-asleep, your fingers curled tighter around his sleeve, voice barely above a murmur as you mumbled,

"Welcome back."

• Oh Stinger, baby boy… first of all, let me just say this guy is insanely charismatic and full of energy.

• You could be having the most boring day ever, and just his presence alone would instantly lift your mood.

• At the same time, he takes his hero work very seriously, always focused on bringing justice to his opponents. And while he may underestimate his enemies from time to time, his passion and skill make him a standout hero loved by the citizens, especially by you.

• You really admire him. Not just in his hero version but in his more homey and everyday self too.

• It all started when the two of you went on a walk together. It felt like a date (though neither of you dared to call it that). On the way, you came across some bamboo shoots.

• Stinger got excited the moment he saw them, knelt down, and started digging them up. He told you he likes to dig them out from time to time. (That’s what One Punch Man: Hero Encyclopedia says, it’s an actual hobby of his 😆).

-It’s kind of dumb I know. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to get your hands dirty- he says with a slightly embarrassed smile. But a few seconds later, he sees you kneel down beside him and start digging too.

-Don’t worry. I’m used to dirt.

• That’s when you tell him about your love for gardening and your family’s farm.

• He already knew about the farm, but he had no idea how passionate you were about it.

• Watching you talk so lovingly about it stirred something in him. He just kept staring at you, completely mesmerized.

• Something lit up inside him, the way your face glowed while talking made him feel something he hadn’t experienced before.

• He wanted to be a part of it. Somehow, in any way. If it meant he could keep seeing you smile like that, it was worth it.

• After that heartwarming moment, things only got better and better.

• Every time you saw each other after that, he’d ask how the farm was doing. Which would lead to more conversations, and more chances to see that bright, tender look on your face.

• Let’s be honest— you've got him on his knees, so please be gentle with him 😭

• I can totally see him secretly researching gardening facts and pretending he already knew them, just to impress you.

• Pls don’t laugh at him if he says something wrong he’s trying so hard!! he’d blush in shame and probably be too scared to try again.

• You could gently correct him a little later (spoiler alert: he’ll blush anyway).

• With great embarrassment he’d eventually ask if he could visit the farm. And of course, you’d say yes.

• The look on his face when you finally brought him there and he saw it all for himself... priceless.

• You didn’t plan to make him work on his first visit, but he insisted on helping harvest the lettuce. You told him it wasn’t necessary, but that man isn’t the type to take no for an answer. His sense of initiative goes beyond your known limits.

• From that day on, his visits became more and more frequent.

• Always offering to help out, even when you never asked him to. He’s stubborn and you know it. These are battles you simply can’t win.

• Assuming the farm has animals, it’s worth mentioning a couple of storytimes! one day he tried feeding the chickens… and they ended up pecking him.

• Another day he was gonna feed the pigs but accidentally slipped in the mud, getting it all over his face and clothes.

• You couldn’t help but laugh while he felt completely embarrassed. He didn’t talk about it for days poor baby.

• As the days passed some neighbors would begin to recognize him.

• An elderly couple now refers to him as "the bamboo boy." He gets a little embarrassed about it but you find it adorable. He’s starting to feel like part of the family.

• Once, you gave him a basket full of fresh veggies and he got emotional.

• Stinger values gift-giving as a love language, so for him, that basket basically said “I love you”.

• And he’d return the gesture in his own way, bringing you plants, animal feed, and little farm-related gifts.

• In the end, it becomes another hobby for him. You’re glad to have introduced him to it, and even more grateful for all the help during his visits.

• Who would've thought this would be what brought you closer together?

• Deep down, in a quiet part of your mind, you can already picture a future with him, living and working together on your own little farm.

Separately, Stinger, Lightning Max, Lightning Genji, and One Shotter (headcanons) with an S/O who’s often very cold, and ends up clinging onto them? Like, kinda hugging them from behind? If height matters, taller/around the same height as the tall ones would be fun, lol!

- Probably has fans throwing themselves at him on a daily basis

- Not to mention this guy’s 24 years old?? He’s got plenty of experience and the wit to come up with killer pick up lines on the spot

- More likely than not he’s making you blush actually, and he absolutely adores seeing it

Flirting (How do they flirt/react to being flirted with?)

- Very wholesome flirting

- Never hesitates to tell you how great you look

- You know he’s gonna do that wink with the lopsided grin from across the room every chance he gets

- Bound to act a little goofier than usual, just to get your attention

- Keeps his head level enough to not make a fool of himself though

- He’s not totally clueless when it comes to picking up on your flirting, but he might not realize it right away either

- Can’t always tell the difference between fangirling and genuine flirting tbh 😐

- But once he senses you have feelings for him, he’s asking you on a date right then and there

~Let me just start off by saying, Stinger is definitely the kind of guy to pick up his partner during hugs and spin them. 

~He absolutely loves to cuddle and the second he gets home, if his partner isn’t busy, he scoops them up so they can play teddy bear for him. 

~Stinger will fight for his right to be the big spoon, and he’ll fight dirty too. You think he’ll just roll over and let you hold him? No, its time to take what he wants.....Unless you give him puppy eyes because then he gives in almost instantly. He knows your weaknesses and he’ll use them to his advantage. Your sides are ticklish? Whoops, poked them. Your sleepy when someone plays with your hair? Welp, he noticed a dust speck and now he’s gently picking it out with head strokes. 

~His favorite place to cuddle is in bed, especially while watching something on a screen. He holds you close and puts his leg over yours, then he slowly slides his hand down your arm. Stinger takes your hand in his own and intertwines your fingers. If you didn’t make him fight for big spoon, he’ll kiss the back of your hand. If you made him fight for big spoon, he’ll give it a little proud shake. Either way, he lets you pick the first video.

~The back of your neck is getting the Hell kissed out of it. Did his lips ever leave your neck unless he was looking for a fresh place to kiss? If you try to escape his lips, he makes a game of it and will start whispering “Gotcha” in your ear after each one.
