In the run up to another expensive, divisive and hate filled English Defence League demonstration in Luton this month, the organisation release an image of their Leader Stephen Lennon. In the image he appears to have been the victim of violence from the ‘so called religion of peace’ but is accompanied by absolutely no supporting evidence. No information about where the attack took place, who was involved, how the incident occurred, crime reference numbers, witness accounts, phone footage leading up to the attack. Nothing. Stephen Lennon has a reputation for lying, not just to journalists and those who challenge him but his own supporters. A reputation extensively documented and verified. The consequences of his inability to tell the truth even about his own name (twice) are that everything he says and everything he releases has to be questioned. The response from supporters planning to attend the forthcoming Luton demonstration  to this unverified attack has been predictable.
