Elisabeth Franziska Karoline von Stephani, née von Hahn (born June 11, 1868 , in Achim - died after 1939) was a German art writer , painter , and teacher . She is considered a pioneer of artistic window display design. From 1904, she was responsible for the design of the glass display cases at the Wertheim department store in Berlin and held the position of artistic advisor there until 1925. She also taught window display design at the Reimann School in Berlin-Schöneberg . She authored the book *Schaufensterkunst * (Window Display Art ). Via W
