I love stories featuring Steph!Robin that really dig into the imbalanced power dynamic the two have. For every other Robin, it's pretty clear that if Batman pushed Robin too hard, he would run away or quit or take a break or something. But not Steph. When she was Robin, she didn't have perfect Gymnast abilities or world class hacking capabilities or a literal army of ninjas waiting for them. She didn't even know Batman’s name! She needed Robin to even have a hint at those amazing fears, to have respect, so she did whatever Bruce wanted. Good dad Bruce or Bad dad Bruce, it doesn't matter; Steph!Robin had no control over her own life, and when a story gets into that theme I find it highly compelling.
What if Jason did the whole shtick of "wow another Robin huh? You'd think the old bats would think better of it after the last one kicked it" and then Tim is dead faced pissed and punches him in the face and goes "Don't ever talk about my dead girlfriend like that again" and Jason's just bluescreens cause wat
