Logan Sanders is played by Brendan Hines? Eli Loker? Damn. Okay, I get Rachel now. Or maybe not because Logan is an awful human being.
I do like that Mike and Rachel have some decent communication now, no breaching phone privacy etc.
I love how beautiful DB Woodside is. I loved him in Lucifer.
I love Gina Torres as Jessica. I should have said this sooner. But I think she’s SUCH an amazing actress. And deserves the world. As gross it usually is in the real world for like… men to make sexual comments about women in the workplace, not to mention the racial dynamic… I think Harvey and Jessica have a fun understanding and I don’t think Jessica is bothered by Harvey having a crush on her. “Are you picturing me naked?” 🤣🤣 “Go wash your hands. Don’t take too long in the bathroom.”
I loved Rachael Harris in Lucifer, too. And I’m not sure about her character in Suits but I know she didn’t sell out Mike as anything personal. And… I do actually think she and Louis are a cute couple. As of season 4 anyway (is it this one where Mike gets found out or next…) but anyway, it’s fun to see her in this role.
Ava Hessington being played by Michelle Fairley was awesome, too. I know I commented about Conleth and didn’t mention this. But I think she’s a really good actress, too. I also love the tenderness and softness of her natural voice - how she can sound so dangerous and smooth at the same time. She also has a stony grace to her that is so pleasant - not in a sexual way (though she is beautiful) but like in a lioness way.
Patrick Fischler playing Stemple made me a bit sad lol. I don’t like it when people with faces like that play cowardly characters. I like it when they play heroic characters. But he did his job well. He’s a very good character actor.
There are so many other familiar faces but these are some of the ones that stick out the most to me so far.
Some other plot/show notes:
- not a fan of Mike right now. And you can see that Harvey is thrown off, too, even if he recovers quickly. But… I do like that Mike still has his compassion. To a degree.
- I feel bad for Louis. I know he becomes leading partner eventually and I do think he deserves it (as far as season four goes), but man, that was crushing. Malone getting partner just as Louis is about to pitch himself. And then him writing in his diary. I also hand write in a leather diary lol. But I put a lot in there, not just the worst moments. I also put in random thoughts and good moments and work out problems I’m dealing with mentally. Like I said in a previous post, I think Louis and I would actually get along. And I also like the fact that he’s such a softie and a hugger. I’ve become more randomly touch averse over the years but when I find someone I am comfortable hugging, I’ve been told I give great hugs. I think Louis does, too.
- Katrina was annoying at first but I really like her. I guess it could be argued that she’s been reduced to Louis’s associate but I would disagree. I think we’ve seen enough bad sides to her that seeing her own loyalty, her own gumption (used for good), her empathy, her understanding… I’m more interested in those traits.
- Louis definitely has character growth. He got the validation he needed. There are so many examples of him re-evaluating his own actions, taking responsibility, sincerely being sorry, sincerely trying to help people, and sincerely being empathic. I don’t know if this character growth disappears in later seasons but for now, he’s got a good arc.
- I hate how wealthy people decorate their homes. I was appalled at Louis’s place. For someone as eclectic as him, I expected organised clutter, posters signed by the cast of operas as well as maybe originals, a piano or harpsichord or something, sofas with too many throw blankets and pillows, several cat trees, more red/gold aesthetics.
