Alone he sat in the sand, one leg outstretched while the other was propped up so his elbow could rest over it. He stared at the stars in the sky, knowing they were so much more than just little twinkling lights and smiled. It was then the sound of another walking broke him from his cogitations. 

Turning his attention, he stared with wonder at Aqua. A smile stretched from the edges of his mouth before he said, “Hey there, Aqua!” Company was something he never minded. Once she was close enough he did lower his tone and he sounded rather solemn instead of boyish when he said,

 “…Can’t sleep either huh?” -   His gaze adverting to the ocean before him.

OutofLight --; Honestly, my muses. I do not think I can even imagine playing a character that I did not either see my own reflection in or somehow feel some sort of deep connection/relation with because then my writing wouldn’t be coming from the heart - it wouldn’t feel real or genuine.

and It’s hilarious to me that I’d say or feel that way because...these characters ARE indeed fictional. But like in all of my other blogs, when I am writing I put myself in their shoes and I write my muses very naturally. 

Of course some more than others - Garnet from FF9 has been my spirit since I was 11 years old.

        “ …marluxia tried to tell me that i ran from the truth because my heart was weak. and - maybe he was right. ” he let a hand drift to his chest. it had fallen to darkness more than once - and his body to follow - because he’d let anger and pain overtake him. but the same thing that had caused him such hurt was what he’d drawn on to survive the darkest places; his promise with namine, false or otherwise. 

        slowly, a muted smile pulled at his lips and he gave a nod, letting his hand fall to his side. “ but in the end - you’re right, too. ” he wished he’d learned far earlier in castle oblivion. ( perhaps he’d had before, and now those memories only existed in the peripheral of his heart. ) “ it doesn’t matter what the truth was, i’m still going to live up to the promises i made. and…try to fix some mistakes, too. ” even if one of those mistakes happened to be him. at that thought, the smile faded, and his expression turned somber again.

       “ … thank you. for reassuring me.”
