Don’t think I’ve ever power screamed before, but this one really took it out of me. The first move makes you lunge up to a decent hold but the move itself is pure power. After sticking the low percentage move you follow up the pod until the top out. really interesting body positions and a beautiful way to finish off a great climbing trip.

Another angle of Apiary Arete. The reason we have so many shots is because there was only two boulders that were dry, or at least not engulfed in the ocean. Well... There was a 3rd one that we set up for but little to our knowledge there was a gap behind the boulder letting through tsunamis every 5 minutes. Lucky the screams of Metzger warned us in advance to grab the pads before they were washed out to sea.
