Share with your connections! In these challenging times, I find I am pondering what it means to make a desirable difference in life. Do I simply do whatever I need to do to avoid the virus? Do I take care of myself and just let others take care of themselves? What do I do on social … Being benign is never enough, but good enough is good enough Read More »
Ever Had This Happen?
You try to honestly explain why you think a certain way about something. You are being NEUTRAL (seems something that people can't even comprehend).
When immediately someone lashes out at you claiming something that you didn't intend.
They immediately assume the worse. But it's an honest mistake. You're open to other viewpoints. You weren't being at all negative in any way. You are simply trying to understand. You expressed an opinion and someone believes you meant something awful by it. Why do people always want to assume the worst. I stayed neutral because I am really open to wanting to know both sides of the conversation. Is this why this happens?
I know someone in one of my old classes. He expressed his dislike for something pretty controversial. He said he doesn't hate it. But he personally just does not approve of it. He didn't go around hating on people for a different viewpoint.
Can we not make mistakes about anything and instead of attacking... Take a step back. And try to see where they're coming from even it is not necessarily good?
I already know why. Because people project themselves onto others. So this person who commented, essentially expressed her thoughts. And I don't even want to know what else she thinks. Because it goes against the whole point being made. And she's a terf. I don't know what that means. But isn't that well... something negative against a group of people? The post also seemed to be about shaming men to a certain degree. Person claimed I was victim-blaming. Wtf? I apologized for expressing my opinion. I was trying to see from that perspective. That my words were ignorant and not appropriate. But really it's really JUST an OPINION.
I want to be educated about things rather than be belittled. Mistakes are how we learn.
I would also like to make it apparent that I am siding with no one in this argument. So don’t ask.
It is usual for INTJs to take a "neutral" or noncommittal stance on anything we personally don't want to get involved in (like arguments on Facebook?)?
I don’t know if it’s normal, but I do. Facebook in particular usually contains family and friends you don’t want to ostracize, so it’s better to play nice. When I do speak out I try not to be offensive, even if I’m replying to something that has deeply offended me.
When I was younger, I did pick fights online with Christians in random forums. I loved debate and felt like I had to prove everyone wrong. It was an immature and idiotic thing to do.

I am about to drink black coffee with peppermint tea.
hi this is a different anon. i would just like to point out that before chihiro dies, he wishes to become more masculine and even goes to a friend and confides in them so they can help him become who they really are. i personally hate when people misgender characters even if they aren't real people. it's disrespecting to the character and the creator. i agree with the other anon but i wanted to explain why.
Alright! Thank you like I stated I have never truly seen it so I can't really say much about it since I am not in the fandom but I can understand why people get upset on both sides if this. Misgendering someone is a problem but what my friends have told me and backed up from the show I can see why. Though I can also see where you guys are coming from. I actually reblogged that from the other ones since I know who they are and agree with them.
Fandom is going into temporary chaos
