Essergasse 8, Kleingmain (August,1987 - 15.03.1989)Through an acquaintance (Dr. Eveline Magenau-Steingress) of Nadia's, Peter Krug and the life partner Nadia Cipriani got their first rented apartment at Essergasse 8 in Kleingmain. This rented room had no heating and at that time the winters were still very cold and the house was not yet insulated against the cold. The toilet, bathroom and kitchen were shared with other tenants. But they also had a terrace and a garden. This garden is at the back of the house and away from the noise of the street. At times they also had a dog called âSentaâ. Peter Krug only had odd jobs, for example as a gardener's assistant from time to time, or for a week at the Salzburger Dult (every year, around Whitsun, the Messezentrum Salzburg is transformed with the Salzburger Dult). Nadia worked as a waitress in various hotels at the time.
When the elderly owner of the house, Mrs. Streingress, the mother of Dr. Eveline Magenau-Steingress died, they had to move out.
Siezenheim, (16.03.1989 - 05.09.2004)They then found a cheap apartment with balcony on the second floor in Siezenheim (BrĂŒckenstraĂe 55 (old street name). nowadays BrĂŒckenstraĂe 1) through an advertisement. You could see Bavaria from the balcony. They stayed there 15 years until 2004, when they moved back to the city of Salzburg (PlainstraĂe 27 Top 8).
