Hello Square
Hello Square is a Digital Media Agency based in Durban's creative precinct Station Drive. The agency is headed up by Wayne Manning who is super passionate and enthusiast about design. Wayne was keen to create an environment that embodied that enthusiasm. The main requirement was to create an interactive space which would encourage collaboration amongst the designers.
Running with this concept I created a multi purpose wooden bench which wraps around the space doubling as a seating, working or even sleeping (we all have those kind of days) surface. The idea was to give the designers freedom to move around the space instead of confining them to their designated desk areas daily. When the dreaded designer block hit it would encourage team discussions where issues could be tackled together or even just a simple change of perspective to stimulate creativity.Ā
The space received some hype on social media so instead of using professional photographs I thought it would be rad to show the office through Instagram snaps from the agency as well as some of Durban's public who have interacted with the spaceĀ
