For the first thing-- this is discussed a little bit in the Heartbreak route, but for the most part, it's kind of conflicting for them. They don't HATE it, per se, just conflicted. Like when you've gotta work with something frustrating in life that isn't exactly what you want, but it doesn't feel like. Agonizing.

However, which this isn't stated in the game (iii don't think? It's been a minute since i've reviewed my own script.), they also wouldn't be able to feel much at all without the SOUL after a while. I think I've said this before too that Willo is more willing to go along with the vessel thing than Kris, to give some more frame of reference.

I would really not force yourself to watch the G1 Transformers cartoon as homework if you don't have a particular fondness for very silly '80s toy commercial cartoons with oversized casts and shoddy animation. I think it's a fun time because I grew up with it and because '80s toy commercial cartoons are a special brand of insanity, but it's 100% a product of its time. It doesn't hold up nearly as well as Prime or Animated, or even Beast Wars if you can look past the dated 3D animation. Those shows all stand on their own really well if that's what you want to watch

Keep in mind I haven't seen most of this in years, so, y'know, this might not be the best list. I might be forgetting some, or misremembering how good some of these are. There are definitely a few more I could include for being silly (The Girl Who Loved Powerglide, Hoist Goes Hollywood, etc.). But this list is already like a third of the show, so that's probably good enough

SLARPG was always intended to be a relatively short game (even if it did end up being 20 hours long), so I set the level cap as 30 pretty early on. Later in development, I kept it that low so that players doing all the side quests would likely hit the level cap late in Act IV, rather than accidentally hitting some absurd level before the final dungeon and one-shotting the final bosses. At that point doing better in combat becomes a matter of equipping better gear and using smarter strategies, rather than being able to rely on overleveling.

I wanted to discourage unnecessary grinding in general, actually. I knew if the level cap was higher then some people would brute force their way to the max level, regardless of whether or not they were having fun doing so. This is part of the reason why I chose not to give the game achievements, too, and why there isn't some super crazy secret reward for completing the bestiary. Extrinsic motivators like that will compel certain types of player to 100% the game and max out everything, even if they find the actual act of doing so extremely tedious, and this can easily bring down your experience with a game as a whole. You might not remember the earlier parts of the game as well as you remember all the grinding you did near the end to get that platinum.
