CILICANT was born with an aim to provide solutions to protect highly moisture-sensitive products from the harmful effects of moisture or humidity, thus contributing to increasing their shelf life. I am Manish Jain, a bibliophile, fitness enthusiast, and the founder of @cilicant_india In early 2011, I realized that the Indian Pharma industry bought desiccant pouches from multi-national players due to the lack of Indian manufacturers with products that are compliant with the USFDA standards. I have always believed that India is definitely poised to manufacture products that are of the same international standard and quality indigenously. I took this up as a challenge and became the first Indian to manufacture desiccants in line with USFDA standards. Over the years with an increase in demand for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, there has been a need to improve not just the quality, but also provide a safe extended shelf life to products sans preservatives. This called for a safe and reliable desiccant, this is exactly what we @cilicant_india envisioned and achieved. For a product as niche as ours, joining hands with Amazon in the year 2017 widened our reach to customers across India. We started with 3 products and today we sell 500+ products in the moisture absorber category.
