Baby Steps #MyMinimalistJourney #Day1
WHITE SHOES I haven’t bought new shoes since last ramadhan. Almost a year! Proud of me! White shoes become my favorite shoes so far, oh wait Wakai is the most favorite shoes.. fyi, I wore this white shoes everyday since last year.. Since I dont have many options, so I wore this one almost every weekdays to office and weekends to the mall (but not everyweekend i went to the mall hehe).
REDUCE PLASTIC BAGS I am still trying to reduce plastic bag. It was soooo hard. Sometimes i forgot to bring reusable bag to minimarket! I will keep in my mind : Bring my own bag when go shopping! No more plastics! (Fyi, plastic is for free again in Indonesia, too bad!)
BYE BYE ACCESSORIES I will stop buying accessories. I have plenty of necklaces and earrings. I love necklace especially. I used to ask my bf whenever he had business trip outside Jakarta to buy me some traditional necklace hehe. One day, he brought me a weird necklace, too etnic. I looked like a tribe leader when I wore that hahaha So, from now I will only wear my collections. About earrings, I have so many! But I was to lazy to wear it, so enough buying the new one .
CLOTHES? NO NEED About clothes. I have to admit. I dont have many. But my mother had more clothes. I always end up searching what to wear at her wardrobe (I am still living with my parent). So it is pretty hard to choose, are those clothes was mine or hers? Never mind, I just wear what I see first. its just about a time that her clothes being mine and stuck at my wardrobe; because we have same size! ahaha so If I have to stop buying clothes, no probs. Thanks to my mom, oh and my sister too. But, if I live alone someday, I must find a solution! Hmm..
LESS CONSUMPTION I will make a list “things i buy” every month. Just to remind me “i will be okay without buying more things” and make a progress to become a true minimalist! I read about minimalist in early 2017. I kept reading theminimalist.com blog and hearing their podcast! What an inspiring! I hope, in my new age, 27 years old I can be a more responsible and smart buyer, an environmentalist, happy and passionate person!
WHAT A BOOK Currently, I read a book ‘Everything That Remains’ by Joshua and Ryan from Theminimalist.com. This ‘why’ book is really inspiring, I cant wait to finish and start living minimalist. I will give updates and progress about my minimalist journey :)
“Collects moments not things” Adios!
