Jean often visited New York - because, really, who needed a reason to visit New York? As much as Jean loved the feel of small towns and suburbs, there was something intoxicating about New York City. Scott once said that it was the pollution getting to her head, and maybe that was part of it, but nothing beat the energy. The hustle and bustle.
But what really interested Jean was the swarms of thoughts here - this was something that she couldn't handle on one of her bad days, but on a day like today, she enjoyed people watching, and sensing the emotions flowing off of the crowd. As she past a flower stand, something made her stop and turn. There was something... strange about one of the people smelling the flowers and making their purchases. After a moment, she was able to determine who it was - a beautiful young girl with long, blond hair and bright green eyes.
Intrigued, Jean approached, looking at the same flowers this girl was. She cast a sideways glance at the blond and smiled, projecting her thoughts into the girl's mind, just as the Professor had taught her. "Hello," Jean thought, "My name is Jean. May I bother you for a moment?"
