“Are you ready?” he turned to ask the woman next to him. It was only the second time he'd actually seen the woman but here he was, bringing her home to his family. Even if she wasn't ready to face them though, he just wanted to get things over with. He was here to fulfill one of the items his grandmother demanded of him before he could receive his trust fund. His grandmother wanted to see him be married to someone, most likely because she was convinced that he would never settle down and find love. And she was right. He planned to never settle down. Being single was way too fun. But for the sake of the huge amount of money he was expected to get, he was willing to compromise.
He tried contacting his exes, hoping he'd be able to sway them into marrying him. But alas, that didn't work out. His last girlfriend didn't want anything to do with him. The one before her had already married someone else. Another one turned out to be into girls. And the only one he had the chance to convince to marry him had four kids in tow. And he definitely wasn't ready for that.
So Will ended up setting up an audition for a secret role, under the guise that it would be for a commercial shoot. The process was long and tedious and he was just about to give up when she walked in. She was perfect for the role. The woman who was going to be his wife. Well, fake wife. All it took to convince her was the money he had promised to give her when they did manage to convince his grandmother that they were in love. And of course, he gave her a hefty amount as down payment. "So let's get our stories straight. We had a meet-cute at an obscure cafe. And then-- whirlwind romance. I had to ask you to marry not soon after. And on the day I did propose, we went to court and got married that very same day. Then we're going to say that you found a job overseas. And our relationship doesn't make the distance. Anything to add?"
