There was a blinding flash of light and a thick, rolling wave of steam given off at the end of the summoning. The circle itself began to fade just as quickly as it had appeared, miraculous and mysterious. Heat from the steam coiled around in the room; a woman stood in the very center with long dark hair and red, distant looking eyes. It was almost as if she were waking up from a dream.
When she looked up and around she found herself in a building--no, perhaps a castle? Fortress? It was much too dark to tell and the moon shining through the glass windows was the only bit of light she could see by. Soon her eyes adjusted and she saw a figure standing to the far end of the room.
“I’ve come from the land of shadows, Tír nAill.” Or Tir na nÓg, but since she was in a state of never dying, could she really call that living? No, ‘the other world’ was what she would call it in her own bitterness.
“What business do you have with me?”
