thank you sunny :3 I am having fun! I have also seen mmmost(?) of MLP but it was 5 to 10 years ago, so I'm in that "a lot of episode premises are familiar but the details are 'new'" area. I'm pretty sure there's a chunk of seasons I haven't seen but I'll find out when I get there.

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?
plan! extensively! to the point where you might find it excessive! hilariously i outline and then write everything in notepad and only bring it to libreoffice (off-brand ms word) when it's time to polish and format.
but i mention notepad here bc i will have like 4-6 .txt files for like one (1) chapter. and they're all important. i need each of them. one has like the initial idea and broad strokes outline. then a more refined outline. then if i'm having problems a third one. one with like conversation snippets. one with other random bits of writing i've cut. then the actual draft. the final draft. etc etc until i get so overwhelmed i have to consolidate things down
17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)
i make more notepad files
LOL actually though depending on where i'm stuck i'll write down the beats of the story as clearly and plainly as i can bc my actual outlines are really messy and include a lot of tangents. one paragraph per scene. like this
and then hopefully i will understand what needs to happen and why better

published: throwing stones, which is currently 16.5k. for me who has problems finishing things. that's a lot. please clap. it will be like 24k when it's done

1. Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chaptered fics?
Most of my ideas unfortunately tend to lend themselves really well to huge multi-chaptered sagas that I have neither the time nor the energy to write. Oneshots are definitely more enticing these days.
2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?
Usually plan ahead, at least for those big ideas. I need some kind of outline or I'll write myself into a corner.
On the other hand, if it's one of those impulse ideas that I just add a chapter onto whenever I feel like it or have an idea (as many of the fics I've posted directly to Tumblr are...), those are more write-as-I-go. I still need to know what's going to happen in the chapter before I start writing it, though.
16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
Right now most of my writing energy is going into longer form narratives in multi-fandom roleplay.
However! When I do have fic-writing energy, I've been slowly chipping away at a oneshot about Davenport having dissociative identity disorder. I hope to be able to share it sometime!
