Hi Noemie! I am such a planner it is ridiculous.One day I will share my handwritten notes and ideas from when I developed this story. They're pretty intense. But I always have a plan. Does that mean the characters always go with it? NOPE. And if that does happen, I go with it. The good thing about having a plan is that I always know where I'm going. If the path changes, that's okay, and actually those unplanned moments are some of the most fun scenes to write!

Hi CB! I am such a plotter by nature. Before I start any story, I usually have scenes plotted all the way through and a progression and arc to follow. That doesn't mean that sometimes my characters decide to do other things - I'm experiencing that right now actually - but even if they do, I at least have a general direction for them to go. When I was writing The Star Host, I knew I wanted to wrap up the main story arc and have a complete narrative. However, I did leave a few loose ends, to tie up later in the sequel.
