classic shane.....
iâm never going to fuck with that straight ass bullshit they tried to pull at the end, when they were on a roll wrapping up the themes and messages with an otherwise solid series of scenes. i love that movie but i straight up stop watching when that shit comes on

Gonna try to post more short stories! A while ago Sasha and I did some writing exercises. We would both start something, switch laptops a few minutes in, and then finish the other personâs story.Â
This story is based on this photo, which alone should be enough motivation to read through.
(First part written by me, switch to sash will be denoted by subtle bolding.)
âSteve, we canât do this.â
âNot with that attitude!â said Steve.
Linda looked at Bob and frowned. The concrete was scraping her knees and she had cracked a nail a few feet back. The cardboard box filled with packing peanuts that she and Bob, an accountant from the second floor sheâd met once or twice, were carrying on their backs, was not very heavy but somehow heavier than you would imagine.
âSteve, Iâm willing to do anything to improve teamwork,â said Harvard OâPrinceton, who looked like he could feel each and every particle of dirt that was sticking to his Armani jacket. âBut is this really necessary?â
âTeamwork requires hard work on the part of everyone! Teamwork isnât just necessary- itâs essential.â
âOkay. Sure,â said Harvard. He turned to his assistant, who was on her hands and knees next to him, in pumps and a pencil skirt and pain. âCome on, letâs just get to the end of the parking lot. Iâve gotta pick up the kids from rich people school.â
Steve watched them go with a smile on his face. The sweet glow of teamwork crackled and swelled around him, like those illegal discount fireworks heâd bought on the fourth of July to appear more human. Humanâs loved festivities, as Steve had learned in his three years occupying the body of one. Steve didnât really care for celebrations. Steve didnât really care for anything except teamwork. One could say that it sustained him. In fact, if one did say this it would be exactly true. Steve was an alien who thrived on good old collaboration and companionship. On his home planet, it was the only thing that kept his species alive. Steve was one of the very few who escaped from the fold to try and start life somewhere else.
He liked to think of himself as a pretty enterprising guy.
When the first limp noodle appeared in Charlesâ trouser pocket he was with his friends and they were sitting in the park at night, smoking stolen cigars.
