Summer. Where our most prized possession is wasted. Time. Yep, you guys caught me. I've been binge-watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine and any goddamned series available for me to watch on Netflix. I'm halfway through my summer break when I realized I've wasted a month and a half doing nothing but stare at my screen watching sitcoms. God, help me. Before the break, I've had my routine organized. My study routine, morning routine, night routine etc-- you get the gist. Now, I'm on a break and I have nothing to do. So my life is kinda out of order.
I've compiled a list of things or you could say, tips to be productive during the summer break before law school or college or even school or anything for that matter.
Summer break has completely disrupted my routine. I used to wake up at 6am now I wake up at 11am (I'M SORRY). I also used to do my complete skincare routine before bed but now I get so caught up with watching shows I only put toner on because I'm lazy--omg
Okay, just because we don't have classes anymore and nothing exciting to anticipate (welcome to the lonely kids club) doesn't mean we have to stop bullet journaling, amirite? Don't stop the habit of planning. It'll be our biggest mistake. It's harder to get back into a habit after we've broken it.
This is the time to do all the readings we've put off during finals! Let's get that TBR list finished. Okay, easier said than done. I'm currently reading The Motivation Hacker by Nick Winter and I've been putting it off-- not because it's a terrible book but because I am just so horribly lazy. I'm trying okay.
Yes, we have three (or four, depending on where you live) months to learn a completely new language or brush up on any language we've learned before but never bothered to continue. Learn something you're familiar with like Spanish or Arabic or learn a language you've never heard of or tried before. This summer I'm planning to brush up on my Arabic and maybe learn a little Spanish.
In this economy, owning a degree isn't enough to get us around. We need skills--I'm talking coding, sewing, writing, boxing-- all that jazz. With the internet, the opportunity to learn something is limitless.
Yes, you heard me. Remember when you promised yourself that you will workout tomorrow and when tomorrow did come, did you really do it? Ha! Nope. This went on for months. My body feels weak and lethargic due to the lack of exercising. Exercising is very important, so incorporate this into our summer routine. Start off small and build up as you go.
That's it for my productivity tips for the summer break. If you have any other tips that I did not mention or if you want to add on, just comment below so others can read it too!
