I completed the Matt Cruse book trilogy last month and man...

The fandom is basically nonexistent, but ouuhhggg it's such a good series. I'm totally normal now about this steampunk adventure series about a cabin boy that was born on an airship and an aspiring zoologist girl that meet each other and go on crazy unexpected adventures and find new creatures that fully live in the sky, going higher and higher into the atmosphere until they're in space, still discovering new flying animals.

I now want to reread it despite having other books I need to finish 😭

Headcanon:

As the Starclimber crew is flying back to Lionsgate City, Kate surprises Matt by sneaking into his room in the middle of the night to "show him that she loves him" (Kate is more actions than words anyways). Miss Karr somehow notices but she just gives them a little knowing smile the next morning and doesn't say anything.

I played the demo of Balan Wonderworld and I really love it! I just wish it had focused just a bit more on the story and plot. BUT I decided that’s what fanworks are for!! I’m very slow at art and stories tho so, I’m gonna make comics with this little OC called Starclimber when I feel up to it! I might fix up her design a bit more though, Something about her doesn’t feel ‘complete’ just yet. Maybe I need to make her more clownish xDc Anyway, she’ll be a new arrival in Wonderworld and will have just as many questions as I do about how everything works! Her ability is to jump up any surface! It focuses more on vertical climbing than the horizontal. So stay tuned for comics whenever I manage to sketch them out!
