One night he meets a dying balloonist who speaks of beautiful creatures drifting through the skies. I’m all cosy with my fav blankets and stuff :) I haven’t read this in SUCH a long time. But i know it’s great! First thing we get is this wonderful illustration of the airship:
Also I can’t believe I forgot the ship is called The Aurora!!
Teenage girl across the train is reading Airborn. A new generation is going to know about cloud cats and aerozoans and Kate De Vries and “It’s a good thing the world is round” and presumably like me live the rest of their lives mourning the downfall of airships as the main mode of skyborne travel. The world is alright. Aside from the lack of airships. I guess I should say the kids are alright.
