for the book ask (if ur still doing them!): 1, 4, 12, 16, 23, 32, 35, 43, 47
1. Ahh it was Carry On by Rainbow Rowell!! I finished it the week of July 11th lmao it only took me like 2-3 days to read
4. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover!
12. Honestly I’m not really sure??? The only memoirs I’ve read so far are ones written by physician-authors so idk what category that would fall into haha.
16. Ooo this is a good question. 1) The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, because that is the best book I have ever had to read for school. It really broadened my mind/perspective haha. 2) Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin (I actually had to go back and look this up in my “read” list because I remember having read it over winter break and how amazing it was but I could NOT for the LIFE of me remember the name but now I found it yayay!!!) because this book is so exquisitely crafted, in that she does such a good job of weaving emotion with humor with deep philosophical questions about life and what it means to be alive and agh I just really love this book. 3) Eragon by Christopher Paolini because that’s one of my very very favorite fantasy series of all time, and I absolutely fell in love with the worldbuilding. My mom also read it with me (multiple times!), it was that good.
23. Amazon! But tbh I had never heard of bookdepository before, so that’s mostly why haha
32. AHHH Kristin Cashore. She’s the first author whose blog I’ve ever followed (Rainbow Rowell is the second and the only other one, but she’s not so much fantasy as realistic fiction, so yh. I guess Carry On counts as fantasy ??? But tbh when I think of her I still think E&P and Fangirl first, because those books impacted me more than Carry On did, though Carry On was a fun read!!!). But yes, I love Kristin Cashore so much. Graceling and Fire will forever be two of the books that really defined me in my late middle school to early high school years. <3
35. OMG so when I was in middle school, my mom and I read this book called The Conch Bearer by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni and I think it is SO UNDERRATED jak;lsdfjslf so many people don’t even know this book exists but AHH it was so good!!!! The next book was also fantastic, called The Mirror of Fire and Dreaming. There was also a third (I think it became a trilogy) but I didn’t like that last one as much as these first two. (Same story with Bitterblue, actually, I much prefer Fire and Graceling over that one.)
43. Definitely one at a time lol. I tried the reading multiple books thing in middle school and it just did not gel with me.
47. Tbh I go onto Goodreads LOL I only recently made myself an account, but I have long been lurking that website and their innumerable lists of books. I used to spend (literally) hours going through those lists in freshman year of high school, haha.
Thank you soooo much for asking!! Sorry I didn’t get to this in a timely manner!
Dangerous Woman by Ariana honestly reminds me of @sanfranciscoslumber ! Like girl you are living that life and I love it! Yaaaas honey.
I miss you mama @stanfordetc ! Stay pure 😘 ! Love you!
