Obi-Wan Kenobi

He is well aware of your ADHD well before you become his padawan. While not all too frequently, Obi-Wan is not a complete stranger when it comes to younglings and initiates. 

There have been surprise appearances in classrooms, and during certain emergencies he has been requested to help in the creche when a creche master had been temporarily out of commission. 

You’re not by any means a troubled padawan, in fact your competency for battle and adapting to new circumstances is unparalleled and you make for a formidable ally on the battlefield. And if anyone says otherwise they will have to answer to your master. 

It…It can just be a bit of hassle when it comes to having you sit still, remember important dates, fall asleep, find focus during meditations, and a host of other aspects that Obi-Wan helps you with as they arise. 

But Obi-Wan is well prepared and though he might discredit himself a bit out of modesty, he has patience and understanding in spades.

He realizes you just live and interpret the world in ways that he and others are not privy to and because of that he has to adjust how he trains and approaches you as his padawan. 

There are some instances where he worries for you greatly, but when Obi-Wan really thinks about it, if Anakin was able to reach knighthood, then you’ll be fine! 

He maintains a healthy environment for you, one where you can thrive and gain the wisdom and knowledge you need to be a Jedi Knight. 

Structure, structure, structure! That is a staple along with frequent reminders, repetition of instructions, breaks during studies and meditations, and firm management of your behavior. 

Believe it or not, Obi-Wan tends to be a bit chaotic himself, so your own routine and structure often helps him as well. 

Anakin Skywalker

Oh Force. 

You’re assigned to him by the council, which technically gives him no say in the matter. Obi-Wan, his man on the inside, prepares him beforehand, guiding Anakin towards your file which has been compiled since you were brought to the Temple. 

While strongly accredited and a legend in all Jedi circles, Anakin is quite nervous when it comes to being your master, for the first time in a while, he feels quite unprepared. 

Before the two of you are fully established as master and padawan, he is at Obi-Wan’s side, learning all he can on how to be the best teacher possible, especially in regard to your ADHD. 

With Obi-Wan’s plan and advice by his side, he tries his hand at giving you the structure and stability you so desperately need in order to develop soundly. 

.At first he does a stand up job, but bit by bit, the carefully cultivated structure wavers. 

Your training with Anakin is more often than not, done without preparation, leaving your head spinning. But there is plenty of hands-on experience and the pacing of unplanned training pairs well with your attention span (if it fluctuates, stagnates, etc.)

The two of you combined make for quite the turbulent duo out in the field and on missions.

Now, Anakin isn’t always so chaotic, he is quite skilled at observing when you have certain needs that have to be met (you cannot convince me Ani doesn’t have ADHD himself), because you remind him a good deal of himself as a young one. 

In your earlier days as Master and Apprentice, he found that having you provide maintenance and care for R2-D2 helped with that structure and responsibility on a more basic level. 

The dynamic is overall supportive and caring, but best believe the two of you give the Council collective headaches on a weekly basis. 

BONUS: Luke Skywalker

In his initial years as a Jedi, this boy would have been so at a loss as to how to properly guide you as his padawan. Luke didn’t exactly have conventional training compared to that of Jedi during the Old Republic days. 

Though, if you’re his padawan around the same time as Grogu was, you will have a more seasoned, put together master that is able to guide you with strength and direction. 

He can be a bit rigid with his training and your studies, but it's just because he wants to make sure you’re as prepared as you can be. Luke’s not going to be by your side forever. 

If he makes your apprenticeship a bit too austere, it will show in your demeanor and willingness to learn and develop. 

Jake Lockley

Is the first to call you out on your bullshit. No matter how many times you deny that you need help, he is there to insist that it’s really no problem. Just stop being an asshole about it and accept the help!

The first time he sees you struggling to lift a heavy box of kitchenware into the apartment, he’s there to take it from you and is quite alarmed when you snap at him. 

“I’m not a child, Jake! I can carry it myself!”

His surprise doesn't last long and he’s just as quick to snap back at you.

“Your arms were shaking, so I picked it up to keep you from breaking all our new shit!”

Jake is never angry at you directly, he’s just frustrated that you won’t accept any form of help. Whether it's doing the dishes or dealing with some scumbag at work, you are always adamant about denying their assistance. If you keep up that denial, you’re bound to get hurt one way or another and that is what scares him. 

Still, even if you remain defiant, he’s going to find a way to ease your worries. Doesn’t matter if you get pissed off, start screaming, or undo his work, Jake is going to make sure you don’t struggle when they’re around. 

Steven Grant

The man is baffled at why you’re being so frustratingly obtuse. All he did was reach for that box on the stop shelf of your closet, and now you’re mad at them?

Steven takes a few hours to just take in what has just happened and to honestly recover from that brief moment where you yelled at him. Gods, he felt all the blood in his body drain to his feet…

When he takes the time to evaluate, he finds that you’re not entirely unlike Marc; when it comes to accepting help in any form, you’re both annoyingly obnoxious about insisting that you can take care of everything by yourselves. 

Well, there’s only one thing that can be done when it comes to stubborn individuals: kill 'em’ with kindness and continue to help you at every turn.

Steven is doubly aware that it will, at first, only serve to frustrate you, but he has a plan for that as well. 

He develops a reward system that is meant to go undetected. When you do accept help, (even if it is begrudgingly), Steven makes sure to prepare your favorite meal, put on your favorite movie, buy some bags of your favorite snacks. He does so quietly, but the plan is bound to be unraveled with time. Hopefully you come around before that happens. 

Marc Spector

Without missing a beat, Marc knows why you’re, quite frankly, being such a right bastard about asking for and denying help. 

He sees a great amount of himself in you and absolutely hates it. He agrees with Jake that if you keep on doing everything by yourself that you will eventually become a danger to yourself. 

Marc doesn’t need to ask you any questions. He can easily tell from your actions alone why you are so headstrong and willful. 

If you accept help, help in any way, shape or form, that would not only be admitting weakness, but would theoretically put you in some form of debt to whomever helps you. 

That is all, of course, bullshit, but Marc knows better than to tell you that directly. Instead he is quite gentle with you, allowing you to handle some struggles on your own. But if anything threatens your wellbeing (or their own), he is there to quietly assist. Since his methods are subtle and not as dogged as Jake’s and Steven’s, it’s easier to not find fault with his actions. 

Half a mile from your ranch sat that modest cabin. No longer empty and deserted, that void was filled with the lives of a small child and his Mandalorian father. You initially had not bothered much with them, only being forced to do so when that little one, barely tall enough to reach your shin, wandered that half mile over to your ranch and fearlessly started chasing around your herd of  horses. 

The Mandalorian had been profusely apologetic, offering to pay for any damages that might have been incurred during his son’s thirty-minute chaotic reign. Fortunately enough, the fence had only been bent a fair amount (something that was easily repaired), and you were more relieved that the child hadn’t been kicked halfway across Nevarro by one of your animals. 

From that initial encounter, both son and father became more ingratiated into your life. When you refused any credits for the bent fence, Din Djarin, as the Mandalorian introduced himself, sought to apologize with all manner of baked goods delivered right to your door. Now it was the various wrappings that let you know at once the offerings were technically second hand, derived from all manner of romantic hopefuls dwelling within the capital city limits of Nevarro. A single father and seasoned bounty hunter that radiated a sense of intrigue was not going to go unnoticed for long.

“I know it’s not much.” Din said, handing you a plate of chocolate covered pastries. “But the offer to repair your fence still stands.” He was quite insistent, never failing to mention that small accident on his twelfth visit that month. 

“Oh, trust me. This is plenty. I still have those cookies you dropped off yesterday.” Popping one of the small desserts in your mouth, you could tell by the flavor alone which city merchant had been trying to make a pass at the Mandalorian. “But while you’re here, I think your kid left something in my horses’ barn last time he ventured over here.”

Walking into your small farm house, you granted permission for Din to follow. 

“Grogu? When the hell was he here?”

“Yesterday afternoon,” placing the pastries down on your kitchen table, you turned back around to the Mandalorian, “he’s been eating the frogs out of the horses’ pond for a few days now, but there’s enough in there to keep him busy for a while.”

Din, looking around your modest home, seemed to cave in on himself just slightly. “And…you’re not bothered?”

“Not really. Have to say, it’s been nice having the kid around.” A pleasant smile played on your lips. “Makes life a little more interesting.” When your guest gave in to the silence, you continued. “Here, I’m sure your little one is missing this.”

Fishing around your trouser pockets you presented him with a small metal ball which Din took with an unsteady hand. Though you could have mistaken his own physical instability for your own; you had been awake since four in the morning, so perhaps it was a trick of the tired mind. 

“Well, if you’ll excuse me,” you said, adjusting your hat, “the stalls won’t muck themselves.”

“Before you go!” Surprised at the rise in Din’s voice, you stopped in your place. “I was wondering if you offer riding lessons here. Haven’t had to ride in some time but m’ looking to start again. ”

As he fiddled with the bandana that covered everything but his eyes, the Mandalorian almost seemed…meek.

There were many rumors that surrounded Din Djarin, both the dangerous and the brutal, but from your own observations, he seemed amicable enough. If he had wanted to cause harm, he would have done so when you had first met.

A lesson or two couldn’t hurt. 

“Alright. Can’t start today, but be here an hour or so before noon tomorrow and I’ll get you started. Feel free to bring your little one. He can hang out by the pond some, and play with the frogs all he wants.”

“I’ll do just that. See you tomorrow.”

The following day, your hands worked faster, your whole body surged with an unusual vigor that nearly made you dizzy. By the time the eleventh hour rolled around, you were practically bouncing on the heels of your feet. 

You could spot both father and son as they walked over to the fence line of your ranch, each giving you a friendly wave. 

“Morning, cowboy.” You smiled, as Din entered the outdoor pen, leaving Grogu by the herd’s pond. “Time for you to earn that hat of yours. Not much of a cowboy if you can’t ride.”

At that he gave a nervous chuckle, looking over the horse you had selected for him with a questioning look. 

Giving the steed a soft bat on its side, you beckoned for Din to come closer. “He won’t hurt or buck if that’s what you’re worried about. Trust me, Daybreak here is a real gentle soul and great for getting back in the saddle.”

“That so? Well, If we’re gonna get started, I think I’ll need a leg up.”

After moving into position, Din stepped on your locked hands, and slid into Daybreak’s saddle. He was naturally gentle with the horse, giving it soft words of praise as you guided them around the pen a few times and then into the training field. When you started to pick up the pace, bringing Daybreak to a trot, you could see Din’s thighs grip the saddle for a moment before becoming slightly lax. His form was solid, strong and concentrated, but tainted with enough tension for you to notice.

When the session neared an hour, you led the horse to a stop. “You feelin’ alright there, cowboy?”

“If it’s all the same to you,” he said firmly, “I think I’ve had enough riding for today.”

Nodding politely, you helped the Mandalorian off of Daybreak. As his leg swung over, one of his hands found purchase on your shoulder, gripping onto the flesh there tightly. Once back on solid ground, Din’s hand remained for a moment before being quickly retracted; as that hand fell back to his side you found yourself missing his strong grasp. 

“I…I don’t have much by way of payment. Perhaps enough for one other session, if you’ll have me. But if you ever need work done–”

Giving a hearty laugh, you played with the brim of your hat. “If I’m being honest, I didn’t expect payment, but y’know what? Why don’t you take me for a drink and we’ll call it even.” Taking a single stride forward, you gave Din an approving once-over. 

The first phone call came during your second day of kindergarten, a flustered teacher who relayed to a very patient Steven that you had been caught hitting another student with a plastic chair during an argument over who could have a turn playing with the magnet blocks. 

After receiving such a call, they (Marc and Steven) all made you swear up and down that you would never resort to violence ever again. If something really bothered you, then you should speak to a teacher or other trusted adult. 

Jake on the other hand, while disapproving of the fact that you did start a fight over something innocuous, is not above condoning and supporting you defending yourself from other bratty kids and bullies. You have every right to swing at someone who dares to threaten you. 

When he shares his two cents with you, his words practically spur you into action. 

That spark of tenacity grows as you age; by the time you’re out of primary school, you are well known for never flinching when faced with an enemy twice your size and defending others from maltreatment and harassment. 

For the most part, you are successful at mimicking Jake Lockley’s ability to compartmentalize the more vicious parts of your nature and the fact that many school officials view you as a public menace. As far as Steven and Marc are aware, you have never shown any sign of aggression since your kindergarten incident.

But at some point your facade will slip. Whether it be Jake or you who makes a wrong step, the other two won’t remain in the dark forever. 

The act is up when you come home expecting your fathers to be gone for another few days on ‘business’. Instead of greeting you with a hug, Marc is appalled to find you walking through the front door with a bloody nose and swollen cheek. There really is only one explanation for your injuries. 

Ignoring Jake’s loose reasoning, Marc and Steven resort to homeschooling you for, at the very least, the rest of the year. 

Marc is more quiet about your betrayal of their trust. It’s a slight deviation from the classic ‘I’m not mad, I’m disappointed’. 

He’s pissed. Marc is ticked that you would willingly be so careless and uncaring of your future and personal safety. What if there came a day when you bit off more than you could chew? What if you didn’t come home to them? The processing of his anger is done away from you; Marc could not live with himself if he became too irate or physically angry with you. He will not live to re-gift his mother’s rage unto his own child. 

Steven on the other hand is more vocal about his emotions, and readily expresses how fearful and distressed he is by your actions. The man sounds like an admonishing television mother, making all of those classic points that leave you without much of a substantial rebuttal. 

There is sympathy from Steven when you insist the only reason you've been fighting is to not only protect yourself but others as well. Perhaps you are a bit careless; you’re not completely oblivious to that fact, but there is purpose behind your actions!

Jake is always quick to support your defense, insisting that he is just as complicit, but was always there to provide support and help if you came home with all manner of injuries. 

Surely, there was no one better to come home to than Jake when you had been trounced just outside school grounds, or when you had valiantly defended a friend from some arrogant student. 

He would listen intently to your tales as he pressed a cold compress to your face or handed you a bandage to some bloody wound. 

If you keep insisting on going hand-to-hand with anyone and anything, then you can kiss school good-bye. Your fathers won’t risk your well-being one bit in spite of any protests you might have. Steven will take on homeschooling you with some assistance from the other two.
