2016.03.16 Day 76: Saint Urho’s Day! According to legend, Finland’s patron saint, St. Urho drove out the grasshoppers that threatened to destroy Finland’s grape harvest. The legend was created in northern Minnesota in the mid 1950s. This statue of St. Urho is located in Menahga, Minnesota. St. Urho’s day is celebrated in all 50 states on March 16th each year, one day before St. Patrick’s day.
