a knock was the only thing needed to change the dynamics of their friendship. “erebos?” he mumbled into the empty space, frowning at how the door was unlocked. “i’m gonna come in!” he yells into the home, slipping out of his shoes after locking the door. his zephyr’s curious eyes scanned around the interior, wondering where his friend could ever be. “erebos? are you there? it’s me, zephyr.”

“ah, hello! i’m jinah, the cat lady for this photo shoot. i’ve got the kittens, you know how to handle them right?”

“hey, um, you’ve been here for a while. you’re gunna need to buy some treats for the cats or another coffee.”

“okay i’ll let you do a photo shoot with this kitten, but you have to tell me what lipstick shade that is!”

“hey! do you think you could help me out? there’s a stray cat here, i’m trying to lure it out. maybe both of us could do it?”

“okay, so you’d think that fostering six kittens would be great, right? because it totally is. but i had to give all of them bum baths this morning. it was torture.”
