I just had a thought for a cute/funny thing for your ML TLK AU: Marinette tried to learn to be a hunter like her parents before the whole Roar thing, but her clumsiness comes out full force and she's just... Bad at it. So one day she's talking with Adrien and finds out he had to learn to hunt for his own meals already because his pride is so tiny and Marinette is all just "Are you just good at everything you try?"
Adrien, contemplating the chances of getting swatted if he says yes: "... Nooooo."
But he does start teaching her his own hunting style and they start hunting together for practice and bonding time.
Haha i like it!
Marinette knows the basics of hunting but she has been trained by Fu to be Lion Guard (since ChloĂŠ didnt have any siblings and AndrĂŠ wanted someone to protect his daughter) most of the times, so she may have missed the hunter stuff that her parents wanted to teach her. So yeah, she is not as clumsy as Kiara in Simba's Pride but needs some help in that area.
And you are correct! Since Adrien's pride is very little, he learned fast to catch his own meals. Not exactly easy if you live on the mountains, tho. His best move is jumping from above and surprise the prey from than angle. He is very impatient tho đ which sometimes causes him to jump earlier and scare the prey.
So both of them help each other out: Marinette with her patience and calculations; and Adrien, with his lessons and tricks.

Hereâs a collection of asks that have been sitting in my inbox for a shamefully long time, lol. Sorry, and thanks for your patience! There are also a couple suggestions Iâm holding on to because I have some vague ideas for writing a little something-something for them. This is Part 1, Part 2 will follow tomorrow and will focus on the teeny tiny Titans âverse.
Hope youâre doing well, too, friend! Unfortunately, I do not have any such plans.
Oooh, I really like âNestlingâ for Barb. Thatâs super cute. And I like âFledgling,â too, but I feel like thatâd be too many -ing nicknames... Iâll definitely keep it in mind, tho! Thank you for your suggestions!Â
This is a Marvel thing, I think. Kills a lot of people? Lol, sounds in-character for ole Ghidorah.Â
Iâm so sorry I missed the double feature here! Sorry âbout that, friend! I think I published the other ask quite some time ago. Newbies in Monarch definitely go through some shock and awe when they find out, whereas the pros who were around for the implants being implemented (iâm assuming you meant in Law of Titans and such) play at being super chill about it, as if they themselves didnât react when it was originally happening.
Thereâs lots of whispered questions, like, âshould we bow? what if make her angry? will she tell Godzilla to eat us?â At first, Maddie has no idea why the new recruits are so nervous and twitchy around her. After finding out, of course, she and Rick experiment on how far they can push the title before anyone catches on that theyâre joking. Rick, loudly: âOh, didnât you hear? A guy from r&d took the last chocolate pudding, so Her Majesty Princess Maddie asked Godzilla to fry him.â He shakes his head sadly. âMay he rest in peace.â No one eats any chocolate pudding from the cafeteria for a week.
Meanwhile, Markâs like, âI donât care if youâre Titan royalty, you still have a bedtime. Now eat your vegetables.âÂ
I can really easily picture this in some AU setting where humans routinely âsacrificeâ kids for just this purpose. I do enjoy things that are heckinâ angsty on one side but fluffy on other. Good for the Titans, not so good for the humans. Definitely an interesting thought either way!
"Look, I know you're a cat, but this is a little bit too far." ((Could be She-Ra or ML!))
âLook, I know youâre a cat, but this is a little bit too far.âÂ
âIâm not ashamed of anything that went on in here,â Catra said, raising her head proudly, âand frankly maybe you should think about not leaving things around your bathroom to tempt me.âÂ
Adora picked up a pile of unrolled toilet paper and shook it in Catraâs face. âItâs my toilet paper and it belongs in my bathroom, how is that tempting you!?âÂ
âBecause itâs just waiting to be free, Adora, how can you possibly just let all this stuff stay coiled up like that?â Catra exclaimed, swatting at another new roll while she talked. âLook at how much better it looks when itâs all over the floor!âÂ

[leave the first sentence of a fic in my askbox and i will write the next five.]
I know you've mentioned that you treat greyhounds a lot. I'm curious if any owners ever kept the dog's racing name as their retired name, or do all of them have new names? My uncle was adopting out a female named Hells Bells a little while back and if there's ever a name I'd be tempted to keep...
All the racing names are supposed to be unique, and a lot of them are awkward to say, let alone call at the park. Most of them donât actually get called by their race name, just an easy kennel name.

Feral!Adrien ask: What happens the first time Marinette gives him human food to try (perhaps croissants or cookies)?
BOY OH BOY OH BOY IâM SO GLAD YOU ASKED.
(New to the Feral!Adrien AU? Start here.)
The thing with the jungle is that there are no decent ovens. Marinette is no ChloĂŠ Bourgeois, for sure, and she wasnât about to complain about the lack of luxurious amenities in their camp. But Marinette truly does miss her familyâs oven sometimes. Baking cakes that are up to Dupain-Cheng standards is out of the question; donât even get her started on how the forest humidity will melt any kind of frosting. But she can make an acceptable version of her sugar cookies, at least, and she makes sure itâs the best sugar cookies the camp has ever tasted in their whole life.
The rangers warned everyone to be careful about bringing food outside the camp perimeter. Stick to trail mix bars wrapped in paper, theyâd said, for everyoneâs safety. No one wants to get into fights with mischievous monkeys, after all.
But being a bakerâs daughter and the campâs cook, Marinette always has some kind of food on her person. She does remember to remove the said food before she goes into the jungle to sketch, but that day almost immediately after she arrived, Adrien starts sniffing her arm with more gusto than he usually does.
âChaton,â Marinette scolds as she gently swats him away, âwhat did I say about the sniffing?â
He immediately pulls back and sits on his haunches.
For the whole of one second.
And then heâs back at it, his nose skimming her elbow and her forearm.
âAdrien, seriously!â Marinette exclaims. But what sheâs saying doesnât really align with what sheâs feeling, and Adrien has always been more in tune with emotions than words. (What sheâs feeling is delightful goosebumps all over her skin, oh my god.) Just when sheâs about to get a hold of herself and shove him away (or hastily stand up and attempt to walk off the strange buzz in her veins) Adrien suddenly stops at Marinetteâs wrist. Like that time when their eyes first met, Marinette doesnât move. Did he find what he was sniffing for, she wonders? (Did he smell the buzz in her veins, she wonders?)
If Marinette wasnât watching him so closely, she might have missed the moment when Adrienâs pupils positively dilate, right before he takes one long drag through his noseâ
âAdrienââ
âand licks.
âADRIEN!!!â Finally, Marinette truly jumps away, all her nerve endings blazing and alert and OH MY GODDDD. âWhâWHAT DID I SAY ABOUT THE LICKING???â
At the volume and shrillness of her voice, Adrien scurries back, and Marinette instantly feels guilty.
âSârry,â he mumbles with a whimper at the back of his throat, âSorry, sorrysorryâŚ.â
âHey, no, sshhhhh,â Marinette soothes, willing her heart to calm down. âNo, Iâm sorry for yelling. Sshhhhh⌠Itâs okay, youâre okay.â Adrien is still tense and spooked and holding himself away from her, so she crouches down to his level before softly continuing,âIâm sorry for yelling at you, Adrien. Forgive me?â
He nods, relaxing a little, but still doesnât approach. Marinette might have been the one who yelled, but Adrien also knew that he did something wrong.
So this time with a calm voice, she asks again, ââŚAdrien, what did I say about the licking?â
ââŚ.Ask?â
âThatâs right, you ask first. Okay?â Marinette waits for Adrien to nod before beckoning him over. âWell, come here, mon minou, donât stay over there.â
Carefully, Adrien approaches, his eyes darting to the hand that he had been paying much attention to just moments ago. Marinette steels herself for another round of lickingâsheâd practically invited him to do itâbut he circles around her, making sure to rub his head against her shoulder blades, and sits himself down on her other side and curls up against the outside of her thigh. Itâs an admirable display of self-control, and Marinette very nearly offers her hand for him to lick as a reward.
Instead, she pats the top of Adrienâs head with her safe, unlicked hand, and raises raises her other palm to her own nose, wondering what Adrien smelled on it to begin with.Â
Sugar.
From the sugar cookies she made that morning.
Well. That explained things, at least. Who knew her kitty had a sweet tooth?
Still patting Adrienâs hair, Marinette wonders how she can get away with packing sugar cookies for her next sketching session. After all, Marinette thinks, Adrien is human, so the whole âdonât feed the animals unless youâre the zoologistâ rule doesnât apply here, does it?
That didnât make patrol any easier, especially when they leapt from rooftop to rooftop. Bright colors fluttered behind his teammate as they moved through Paris, catching Chat Noirâs attention even when he tried to avoid them. Le Paon noticed a few times and slowed down to allow Chat Noir to pass him. With the tail out of his line of vision, Chat Noir could focus a little better, but the knowledge that it was there, right there, buzzed in the back of his mind.
Ladybug raced ahead and landed in front of them. âOkay.â She turned back to face her two teammates. âWhat is going on?â
Chat Noir rubbed the back of his neck. âNothing. I just-â
âHe keeps staring at my tail,â Le Paon answered softly.
âI know.â Ladybug frowned. âWhy?â
Chat Noir grimaced. âIâm sorry. Itâs just so bright, andâŚâ He sighed. âMy kwami said itâs normal. Itâs a cat thing.â
Le Paon visibly relaxed. âThat...makes sense, actually.â
Ladybug looked between them. âIt...does?â
âYeah, he makes me really nervous. Maybe itâs a bird and cat thing.â
âI make you nervous?â Chat Noir asked, a hint of distress in his tone.
Le Paon looked away. âI mean, I didnât want to say anything, but yeah, a little bit.â
Ladybug sighed. âOkay. Iâm gonna finish patrol. You two should talk.â She patted them both on the shoulder. âIâm sure you can clear it up.â
Chat Noir nodded. âThanks, milady.â
She smiled and soared off, leaving the two of them alone on the rooftop.
âSo, itâs just the tail?â Le Paon asked, glancing over at Chat Noir.
âYeah, I kind of want to chase it.â Chat Noir chuckled. âI know itâs weird.â
âNo, IâŚâ Le Paon shrugged. âI felt like you wanted to attack me, so that sort of helps.â
Chat Noir grinned. âWell, if it helps, I promise I wonât attack you.â
âNo, itâs fine.â Le Paon shook his head. âYou should. Maybe itâll help if you get it out of your system.â
Chat Noir perked up. âReally?â
âYeah, dude.â He turned away. âGo ahead.â
Chat Noir lunged forward and quickly pinned the ends of Le Paonâs tail to the ground. Le Paon glanced over his shoulder to study him, and when their eyes met, they both burst into laughter.
âFeel better?â Le Paon asked, still chuckling.
âKind of,â Chat Noir admitted.
âI guess it worked, then.â
Chat Noir stood, batting at the end of the colorful tail before stepping back. âItâs still distracting.â
Le Paon snickered and tugged Chat Noirâs tail as he passed him. âHey, Iâm not the only one with a tail, you know.â
