hi @goldenclosetkook , hope this helps just a lilâ bit. â:))
When thinking about the strategy in SSBTS weâre talking about how to get your cards to the best point you can get them to. So:Â
When choosing which theme, youâre going to have on a specific album, itâd be best to choose with your best card in mind. If you have a card in an album that is an R card, you canât evolve(?) that to a higher card, so best choose after that.Â
Always have a plan of how to evolve your cards. When you spot a card, you can potentially use in the future, lock it.Â
When you lock a card you often get more cards that can help you evolve the card youâve locked.Â
The more you lvl up your cards, the more it needs to lvl up. A good solution to this is to start out lvling up with your C cards and then afterwards go higher.Â
If you need more cards to lvl up with, you can buy a 20-card pack in the store for 20,000 RPs. It is usually exclusively C and B cards, so nothing too important.Â
Here are some small tricks that help me when I play SSBTS;
Aim to finish the song. The more you finish songs, the more you get used to them.Â
Never pick the first or the latest albums to learn first, theyâre too hard. The middle ones are a good place to start.
Generally, avoid raps if youâre not used to the level of hardness yet.
When you do get to the raps, take them as they are in toughness;
If a section of the song appears where it seems too tough bc there are too many buttons you have to push, just tap without thinking, in the area the buttons comes.
The more you play a song, the easier it gets.
Get to know the dances to the songs that have dances. Many times, itâs similar motions in the game. (See: GoGo + MIC Drop)
When the buttons seem too overwhelming, take them as they come, focus on the ones that arrive in the push-zone.
Learn the way each member uses their voice, like:
It doesnât matter how slow or chill the song is, if thereâs a lot of words in the rap, it will be tough.
Survive the verse and you will survive the song.
The toughness on the different levels:
Easy: You basically just have to follow the bars/beats and youâll be good.Â
Normal: You mostly have to follow the music and maybe some of the words, depends on the song.Â
Hard: Both the music and the words here, with more focus on the words.Â
What I did when I went from playing on Normal to playing on Hard was going to the ballads first, so:Â

But I, personally, already finished these and the following on 3 stars on hard mode:
