Hey! How is your progress with your Nyx cosplay coming?
Oh that? It’s actually already done
Here’s a preview image while I wait for the full-body shots
(Note: I had just gotten out of the car after parking- so I didn’t have the chance to put my cape on yet when this picture was taken.)
I still look hella fine though~.
Hello! My friends and I are planning on doing a Ghibli group cosplay and I was wondering if you could give me some tips on a Ponyo cosplay.. i saw yours all over google and it was really pretty (along with you) Anyways were the bloomers just apart of the dress (like sewn on) or was it separate and you just made the dress shorter? Also where did you get your wig? Thank you in advance!
All over google? Really? Holy shit!!! :DÂ
Anyway, the bloomers were a separate piece and the skirt was just made shorter than the bloomers. The bloomers were really simple too, fluffed with tulle and has an elastic waistband. As for the wig, I got it on Ebay. I don’t think I can go back to my 2010 purchase history to look for the exact source for you, but if you’re looking for the same one, just know I didn’t style the back of the wig AT ALL. It came like that.
How did you make the hoop skirt for you lissa cosplay?
Short answer: Crossgrain ribbon and polypiping from Home Depot.
More detailed answer: For the most part I followed this tutorial as a major guideline:
http://thedreamstress.com/2009/08/the-hoopskirt-how-i-made-it-and-what-i-would-do-better-next-time/
but ended up changing the distances between the tubing channels considerably from the ones listed due to it not achieving the particular bell-shape of Lissa’s dress I was trying to achieve. (If you want details on how I ended up drafting the lengths between my hoop channels please let me know. It’s just kinda complicated to type out.) I also excluded (look at step 4) Lengths 5 through 7, and either Length 2 or 3 (don’t remember) to get my 4-hooped skirt. (Also shortened length 1 because I have a tiny 23-inch waist and the shape just wasn’t transitioning smoothly)

Just had a fleeting thought: Hey maybe I should check my fanpage.
But it's 3am and then it means I have to look through all my messages and tags if they work on fanpages still/anymore and honestly I'm still terrified I'll have another police-report-needed stalker incident like a few months ago which got me on hitatus from my fanpage in the first place.
I'll check it tomorrow when I have motivation and am not about to go to bed.
I just counted, and we have a 20-person group on Firday
