Squirrel Update #2
We are officially out of peanuts.
This is me attempting to comfort her with a corn thin until morning.
Aaaaand, this is her pouting at me because corn thins are definitely NOT peanuts.
Good Lord....
Squirrel Update:
Since I last posted about befriending a squirrel, my relationship with said squirrel (Daphne Darling) has grown more comfortable.
This is how she greets me.
Not expectent at all...
Another update: The "squirrel" is accidentally sealed into the house, so last night it made a TON of noise all over the house. ...We now think it might be a bat. It only makes noise at night. SO just a half hour ago or so I went upstairs to prepare my room for dust (new windows going in this weekend) and to stream and in the hallway next to my room I could hear it SO LOUDLY. Squirrel-bat is hungry and is DESPERATE to get in or out of the house! My stepdad tried to see it and we are still working on a way to free it before it dies. We also do not want more bats in the walls! So even though I like bats, I can't go into my room right now. The sounds it's making are scary and I'm afraid it will succeed in getting out of the wall into my room! I feel so bad for it. :( So if it IS a bat...I'm sorry I expected the King of the Squirrels to take care of it. Does anyone know who the King or Queen of the Bats is?? I may need to have a word with them...
Success!
We were able to get the little guy to a not-for-profit wildlife rehabilitator! He was confirmed to be a tiny baby squirrel, and other than some bruising, he seems to be okay.
