          Jack knew how to appease people about 98% of the time, till they were desensitized from being hit. His hand came back, and a look of pure remorse overtook his expression.

     “I’m so sorry Mark, I thought ya were someone else fer a moment... God, I’m so sorry... I was used ta havin’ ta fight back when I was a kid, and I thought you- I’m so sorry.”

               Jack went forward and hugged Mark, starting to cry. “I didn’t mean ta hit ya, I’m sorry. Ya just triggered me- and- I’m sorry...”

"I don't know, man! I just read once that you can't freak out when a little kid gets hurt or else they'll start freaking out and   — " he stopped as he thought about why this little injury happened in the first place. His little prank hadn't exactly been as funny as intended. 

          Wilford trembled as he held onto Damien tightly, sobbing softly. No. No, it was fine, just a joke, nothing was real, he was- “D-D-D-DON’T!” He pulled away, pushing Damien back. “Not Colonel, Colonel isn’t- I’m not- DON’T CALL ME THAT!”
