April Square Tops: Floating on TOP

Desperate for something sweet to eat I discovered some packets of jelly at the back of the cupboard…What could I add to the jelly….some frozen blueberries yayyy…but should I have defrosted them first?

Well I didn’t and this was the outcome…and the jelly turned a gorgeous pinky purple too with the blueberries floating on TOP

My first allium has also just started to open and here is the view…

Struggling for a TOPic today for square tops I came across these images of my ice TOPped bird bath. Strangely I didn’t take a photo of the ice in situ but managed to remove it almost whole to photograph it here:

My yearly pilgrimage to St Ives or twice if possible, always includes a visit to Barbara Hepworth and the garden. It has a magical mystical and deeply meditative feeling every time I visit. I sit and contemplate her life and work and try to imagine a connection. For the past few years I have also snapped my reflection in her studio mirror to somehow validate my being there? That sounds a bit…

Also the hostas are growing fast and of course the alliums…so looking forward to those opening too.

The bulbs were planted in pots this year as they usually get trampled on or dug up by foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels, pigeons and of course Rex my Rag-doll/Burmese cross – who is huge and it seems has to lay in the flower beds for some reason.

When they are stronger I will place them in between the shrubs for colour.. if they don’t get eaten in the mean time!
