How I'd do an anime of each Umamusume generation part 29: 2011
This is a tough one. Orfevre is one of those Umas who are so good it's difficult to have a story centered on them and Win Variation never gets a win against Orfevre that could serve as a satisfying conclusion to the story.
The best thing I could come up with is starting with Orfevre's Takarazuka Kinen victory. She has now clearly established herself as one of the all-time greats with 5 G1 victories already, so of course she decides to conquer France.
Things initially go well, she wins the Prix Foy but at l'arc she narrowly loses to Solemia.
Solemia follows her back to Japan (we need insane yuri tension between those two btw) and Orfevre hopes that with the home field advantage of the Japan Cup, she can at least get a win against her, kind of mirroring what Special Week did with Montjeu.
She does end up finishing way ahead of Solemia, but comes in second to Gentildonna so it feels like a hollow victory.
After a win at the Osaka Hai, Orfevre decides to do something no one at Tracen has done before (to my knowledge): Try l'arc again
She once again wins the Prix Foy and once again comes in second at l'arc. The foreign turf disadvantage is just seemingly too much for any Japanese Umamusume to ever handle, if even the great Orfevre can't win.
Back home, Gentildonna wins the Japan Cup, the 8th consecutive domestic victor. No one can claim that Japanese Umamusume are weak, but maybe they are just too different to be compatible with the others.
We could either have a downer ending where Orfevre laments how she could have easily surpassed the Emperor if she hadn't wasted her time in France or we could have a happier ending where all of Orfevre's friends are just happy she did so well (after all, she is the second and third Tracen student to ever come in second at l'arc) and talking about how she's going to inspire so many more Umas to try going to France and how her attempts were an important stepping stone, just like Sirius' and El's, potentially with a flash forward of other Umas running at l'arc (and maybe with Tabaru winning? Please?)
And then she runs and wins Arima.
