… (oil on board - 24” x24” ) so I started out with a plan for something different that didn’t work out - so I decided to just squeegee it (a la Richter sort of ) - anyway it’s just a technique to play with black and yellow which can make an awesome green that really vibrates with cadmium red dragged over … this technique is not anything new - I just really enjoyed playing with thick color and dragging it across the surface - sometimes it’s good to just work with a process…. I have been sitting in a coffee shop with a friend and as we were chatting over our flat whites a window cleaner came along. I was so distracted. I just sat and watched him put soapy stuff on the window and then use a squeegee to wipe it all away! It made the window clean and sparkly and it looked like the most satisfying!
