My ugly duck I’m late in the animal crossing wave (only got the game at the end of may), but I’m totally in it now XD I got Laflèche (Sproket in english) as one of my first villager and I was like... “urgh... definitely not my type. Will try to exchange him whenever I can”

Talked a bit with him at first and... I had nothing to link with this one. He always talked about sport and muscles and... I was like “uh.. great ?” But... Things started to change slowly. Welcoming other villagers made me experience how much Sproket was genuily kind. His metaphores were all about sport but always in a very encouraging way. He offered me a lot of gifts and they were all awkward.... I started to find it cute. I started to giving gifts back to him, selecting items that could please his algo... Everything about sport for a start, and then outfits too.

And then I realised he was the true explorer on my island. I build a bridge or a ramp ? The next day he’s the only one on the new place. Late at night ? He’s still here too... Doesn’t care at all for the rain.

One day he seemed troubled, I went to talk with him and he was all “some people are mocking me because I can’t swim... But I’m made of metal ! I can’t float on water ! It’s not my fault !” And I was all “WHO ????? WHO TOLD YOU THAT !!!!!” And gave him three gifts in a row after this. His sad expression is one of the most heart breaking thing I ever saw in a game... ;  ;

Yesterday evening he was in the museum !!!! It was the first time I saw one of my villagers inside ! And I really think he spent the whole night in there, because he still was watching the aquariums in the morning.

And today I was so excited, I met him in the afternoon and ...

“wait someone is watching”

“Ok they’re gone.”

He was singing. It was awful and also the cutest thing XDDD

I grew so attached to my ugly duck !!! I know he’s just some algorythms, but... I will do all I can to make him feel good on my small island. (Even if it means to move is house so he will stay alone... because he always makes comments at the resident house that he enjoys how peaceful and empty my island is XDDD)
