It's raining on an early spring night The drops tapping nonsence in Morse code against my window And I find myself sinking into the sound Letting it envelope me in the scent of spring waters

The drops become raging rivers streams which race to the bottom of the glass I trace my fingers along the trails turning the window into a map for rain clear water from the sky

Puddles form and quickly become ponds the frozen ground just can't swallow it all and it make the yard a swamp again we have to break out the wood pallets to stay dry But this is the same as last year and in this house, we learn from our mistakes and already have the makeshift walk way complete
