Finally finally visited the Scott Polar!

(yes it did take me several months to visit somewhere 5 mins away from my parents' house but in my defense I was at uni or on holiday for a lot of that)
Walked past the Scott Polar Research Institute while picking up a takeaway. Might take a break from the hailstorm of shit I'm currently experiencing and actually go to it tomorrow
Seems others have posted pics from SPRI so I hope it’s okay to share mine. Things that made me happy / emotional: JCR’s pocket sun compass; model of Erebus; FE search balloon; replica of James Caird; tiny Inuit bird given to Edward Parry; FE silverware. Also enjoyed the barrel organ from Parry’s voyages being described as the “iPod of its time”.
