WHAT A BRAVE LI’L CRITTER. Just like Kyrie, hah. They both may be small and frail-looking and cute but they can be courageous. Stupidly so. 

While Sylveon (appropriately named Beau, as in ‘handsome’ but also a play on ‘bow’) is a great help with calming fussy children and pokemon in the daycare, he actually acts more like a stray cat who prefers the outdoors instead of being cooped up in the facility, or even a pokeball. He’s always present whenever Kyrie has to leave the daycare to go anywhere, be it long-distance travel to visit the DMC mobile division/Dante’s place or just a simple walk to the market; he acts as her bodyguard, ready to attack at the first signs of threat.

    Leans into it. She feels tired and heavy. 

    maria & katerina:

    Every time the cool metal ghosts against her neck and ears Maria’s lips twitch with a grimace that dies before it can pull her face apart. It’s so easy to get hurt. So easy to mark another scar on her body. She doesn’t trust herself to cut her hair because of this. A part of her doesn’t trust anyone else doing it, either. Even her own sister, who hasn’t done so much as raise a hand to her in their shared lifetime. 

    i used to believe 

    Katerina dusts the hair off of Maria’s shoulders. She blows against them, giggling when Maria jumps at the feeling. The younger twin knows that Katerina can see her pouting in the mirror so she doesn’t bother to turn. A ‘quit it’ is mumbled before the silence returns. 

    that if i got hurt 

    It’s nothing drastic, just a general trim. Maria’s been considering letting it grow out a little, maybe put it up in a ponytail just to keep it out of the way. But she doesn’t know if Katerina would like that. They’ve had fun with being able to switch places with one another, confusing and sometimes creeping people out. She knows Katerina loves it. Otherwise why else would they do it? She doesn’t want to upset Katerina. She doesn’t want her to think that Maria wants to abandon her by separating herself from her. The thought of such a thing terrifies Maria. Katerina’s all she has now. 

    she would feel it

    The elder sister nudges her, “C’mon, move it,” Maria switches with Katerina, taking the scissors in her hands.
