This is a pdf of screencapped comments from viewers that fall within the "18-35 young male demographic", one that is important for Supernatural to maintain and even strengthen as it moves to Wednesday following The CW's new male-skewed Arrow series. - Meet The Team: Our team held a quick roundtable chat together this past week which we hope to share with you all at a later date. For today, we have posted some quick "stats" about these team members up at our mod updates blog. 

- Who Are The Silent Majority?: We would like to start a new page — “Who are the Silent Majority?”— with submissions from you, about you, our supporters, in the similar format our team used in the above link. This information, we believe, is important to the people this campaign is directed towards. We would ask that once you send your letters, you submit your “stats” to be counted as one of the Silent Majority. The format to follow: (1) first name (or nickname), (2) age, (3) location, (4) when you started watching SPN, and (optional) what kind of "fan" do you label yourself as, and what part of "fandom" are you involved with, if any.

Our detractors have been using it as their "proof" that Silent Majority was formed there by tinhatters.

We, however, took one look at this post contained in that link, and its date:

And knowing full well our blog was not created that early on, we debunked the theory on our twitter with a simple "Our tumblr was not created on the 19th".

Of course, everyone wanted proof which was why I sent an email out to Tumblr Support before even sending the tweet, asking for a way to prove the date a tumblr was created. While it turned out there was no place I could take a screencap of the creation date from the user's side, Joe was kind enough to do so on his side and send it to us personally. So Silent Majority was created on Sunday, May 20th, at 1:43am EST. That's almost nine hours after someone at this anon site had already posted about an already created tumblr on Saturday, May 19th, at 4:50pm EST (UTC is 4 hrs ahead).

Whatever tumblr that was, it wasn't Silent Majority.

This is my first official summer as part of the SPN fandom, and I must say, all year I've been wondering why you guys refer to it as "Hellatus"... I mean, I thought it was just because three months with no Supernatural would be awful, but now I understand - it's because the fandom goes crazy and everyone makes massive tools of themselves. 

But there's one strain of lunacy that rises above the rest, in my eyes - the insistence on making everything political.

THIS IS A TV SHOW, FOR FUCK'S SAKE. NOT A LIFE OR DEATH, SRS-BSNS ISSUE!

Like, it just baffles me that people are actually "campaigning" over what characters get how much screen time on a show. Taking actual time to write up a fucking MANIFESTO/PLATFORM/WHATEVER complete with weird, trying-to-be-PC-but-transparently-one-sided wording.

It's ridiculous! This is a TV show that people watch for entertainment, it's not an election! Your group is not a political party! 

Also, I doubt your little "campaign" is most likely not going to make a difference. Do you think the execs don't already get mail from displeased fans? Do you think they're going to say, "well, we have this long, elaborate storyline planned out, but since people have written letters I suppose I'll just scrap everything and do what they want me to do."

Yeah, highly unlikely. 

And it's not like there aren't actual problems in the world you could be putting your time and energy into. Instead of writing to TV execs to get your fave character five minutes more of screen time, why not write a letter or sign a petition to do something that would actually help people?
