Mireles, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, is affectionately known as “The Lincoln Giant” due to his immense stature (6’9”) and status as a graduate of Lincoln High School in Des Moines. In a relatively brief, but extremely successful amateur career, Mireles complied a record of 28-4 with 10 KOs. He was the 2020 USA Super Heavyweight Olympic Trial Champion, 2019 National Golden Gloves Champion, 2019 Eastern Elite Champion, and a 5x Iowa Golden Gloves Champion. “I am as excited about signing Antonio as anyone I’ve ever signed,” said David McWater of Split-T. “I think he has the ability to be Heavyweight Champion of the World some day and the opportunity to be a tremendous star.” Mireles is now training under renowned trainer Robert Garcia in Riverside, California.
