RULES

How to join:

You must have a splatsona to join, if not you can create one for this zine (please do not create a sona just to be in the zine if you plan to scrap the sona after the zine is over)

Fill out the forum and submit it to the zine: ---->Here<----

Rejection and acceptance replies will be sent out after the mods review and an official artists list will be posted for those accepted (if you do not get an email the list will be posted publicly)

** For the application splatoon related art is preferred, you must include at least one drawing of your sona with your application and one drawing with a background drawing, please submit art that is appropriate and that you feel is your best work**

Zine Requirements

This zine is solely based around the sonas of splat artists and not the canon characters of Splatoon, While it is ok to include these characters in your piece, please keep the focus of your piece on your sona. 

Digital art is preferred for this zine but we will be reviewing traditional as well, those with high quality scans, digital quality traditional, or fast production speed will be considered also. 

Each artist is limited to one piece per artist, You are free to collaborate with an artist as long as they are ok with it and as long as you both selected the collaboration option in the forum submission. 

While we recommend not adding too many characters for faster production you are free to put more characters in as long as your sona is the focus. 

Quality of your piece should match the same quality of the artwork submitted for review.

Submission Requirements

Submissions must be vertical, 8x11in at 300DPI resolution, .PNG or PDF file, and must be submitted to [email protected], subject line must but “Artists in Inkopolis Zine Submission”

Characters must be shown at least waist up or full body and must be doing more than static posing, any questions on posing feel free to ask

All Submissions must include the sona’s Name somewhere on the piece (preferably the bottom corner)

You must include a background in your piece, it can be simple paint splatters or an indepth scenery scene but it cannot be a plain white bg!

All participating artists must send a mandatory WIP via DM before submitting the final piece, Can be a screenshot,check the timeline for deadline

Submissions cannot be publicly shown at any point of the process, small previews are allowed but must not show the whole piece. 

Submissions must be appropriate and respectful, No violence, nudity, sexual content, offensive themes. Please be respectful as you are drawing your own representation of yourself

If you are drawing a character you do not own, or if you are collaborating with another artist you MUST have the zine staff approval and must have approval from the artists who’s character you are drawing.

Timeline/Deadlines

Application: August 19th-September 16th, 11:59pm EST

Acceptance and Rejection Email or Artist List: September 17th-20th

Work Period: Sept 21st -November 24th, Please submit one WIP by the end of October **this can be a sketch
