Hi there! So I've been a Splatoon fan for many years now, the franchise in general has been one of my favorite things ever, but have only recently discovered your other blog. I know that it is currently on hiatus and has been for a while, and I'm sorry if bringing it up makes you uncomfortable at all, so you totally don't have to respond to this if you don't want to! :) I know it might be a bit late to say this, but I really enjoy the things you post on there. It's a side of the Splatoon lore and community that I had never previously thought about, and I wanted to thank you a bunch for playing a huge role in changing my perspective about Salmonid and helping me think about them as nuanced people. A few months ago I started developing an Octoling OC who leaves Octo Valley after the events of the Splatoon 1 single player, and spends much of their life afterwards living with the Salmonid, using their knowledge of Octarian technology and tactics to help the Salmonid fight back against Grizzco and other related corporations. I previously had very little knowledge of Salmonid and their culture, and I still have a lot I'm looking forward to learning. Initially I wanted to know more so I could write the Salmonid more accurately, but I think the Salmonid are very interesting just on their own, and your blog has been a super helpful start! So basically I wanted to let you know that your input on stuff like this is deeply valued my many people, including myself, but taking a break is definitely understandable and I'm really sorry that the people who aren't receptive to it are the way they are :(
