Pangolin arms is subtle nod to controversies between bipedal & quadrupedal locomotion. Puny legs taken from coot. As if that newt's sail wasn't tall enough, sailfish's sail brings extra swiftness. Double-layered "wings" were modified for biplane-style flying.. or more like sesquiplane (I made it actually because it's badass). Just as much as tadpole tail. Design of Spinard is based off vanilla mounts and the color theme of Chrysalis campaign. Funny comparison:
Two with similar skeletal - Ulamander (gliding lizard) & Thao (loong with his early model); Two dinosaur-types - Krumm (fluffy T-rex) & Kedle (living-tar dragon); Two fishes-relatives - Mantou & Gillbourne (scrapped during early dev, sadly).
