Flashback to 2014, I was involved in starting two fan-groups focused on the Spider-Man lore: WebsPinas and the aforementioned Spider-Verse Philippines. Our goal was to contribute to the growing local Spidey-centric fan community by highlighting what Pinoy Spider-Man fans can offer in terms of fan art, cosplay and collecting. As the years went by, the community steadily expanded and the roster of members grew. And now, with 2018 shaping up to be a true banner year for Spidey fandom with successful film, video game, tv and comic book projects launched, we at WebsPinas and Spider-Verse Ph are proud to share our very own SPIDER-CON: a Spidey-convention that's actually more of a party, but more importantly a culmination of all that we love about our favorite superhero: The one and only Amazing Spider-Man (and his friends!).
