evan buckley, a kid that wanted nothing more than the attention and love of his parents. evan 'buck' buckley, a man that wanted to make something of himself by saving people and proving his worth to the colleges around him. spiderman, a hero that was loved and adored because of his heroic deeds and his friendly demeanor. after leaving his home of hersey, pennsylvania, buck travel all over the country and even to central america before finding himself in LA -- training to be a firefighter of all things. barely two years into the job, they get a call to a laboratory fire and buck is leading the hose. it was a fairly routine fire: get in, put out the flames, leave and go to the next call. but what they didn't know was that the empty glass cases didn't hold other chemicals... they held experimental, chemically enhanced spiders -- and one just happened to attach itself to buck's turnout gear. as expected, after getting to the station and ruffling up his things, disturbing the small creature, it bit him. at the time, no one thought anything of it, it wasn't venomous. so there was nothing to worry about. until buck began feeling feverish. he was covered in sweat by the next morning, and his skin was clammy. he felt nauseous but he was starving. everything felt distorted and underwater. but instead of going to the hospital, he just called into work and tried to sleep it off -- only calling his sister to help him. by the next day he was back to his old self, and a few days later he felt better than he had in years. as the weeks progressed, he started noticing things. nothing felt quite as hot to him anymore, he reacted faster when things occurred around him. he was lifting more than twice he could before like it was nothing. he didn't know what was different but he liked it. and he wasn't the only one that noticed.

okay so i was rewatching far away from home yesterday and thought of spiderman buck getting hurt and like, basically crashing into eddie's apartment. and eddie being the competent paramedic he is, patches him up??

“Christopher won't believe me when I tell him Spiderman was here. The one night he isn't here, I swear.” Eddie grumbles and mutters under his breath, probably not intending for Buck to hear any of that. And he probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for his enhanced hearing.

“Who's Christopher?” Buck asks, mainly to distract himself from the pain when Eddie starts kneading the needle through his skin.

Eddie startles. but to his credit his hands remain steady and calm while working on Buck. “My son,” He replies after a few seconds. “He is seven years old and obsessed with you. All he talks about is Spiderman, I swear. Probably a good thing he isn't here to see you, or he would've peed himself from the excitement and would be asking you a million questions.”

“That's adorable.” Buck smiles, and then his breath hitches when Eddie performs another stitch. “I love kids.”

“I love this one.” Eddie mutters.

you already KNOW it's gonna have those things!!! i'm genuinely going feral over this, and i can't stop thinking about early seasons buck as spiderman. like later seasons (mostly beefy buck in season 6😵‍💫😵‍💫) have my heart, but something about season 1/2 spiderbuck has me in a chokehold
