headcanon that when finishing the stucco and plaster in what would become the royal bedchambers of the Matral Palace, Joel invited Lizzie over, so they could leave their hand prints in the top layer of clay. the handprints were covered by the furniture while the palace was inhabited, they survived it cracking in half
